Stage 4: Pyungoorup Cave to 3rd Arrow Cave
A small camping cave beneath a rock overhang on the southern traverse of Pyungoorup Peak, with expansive views across the plains to the south.
Following the narrow traverse along the southern face of Pyungoorup Peak towards 3rd Arrow, with the track squeezed between the imposing rock wall and steeply falling terrain. Baker’s Knob is visible in the background.
Following the traverse along the southern side of Pyungoorup Peak towards 3rd Arrow. In the middle of the photograph, the green vegetated line marks an old route known as the Rake, which climbs towards Pyungoorup Peak summit. This route is considered dangerous and is not recommended.
The steep chasm between Pyungoorup Pinnacle and the western face of Pyungoorup Peak. Do not follow the apparent line into the gully. The correct track turns left and continues west around the base of Pyungoorup Pinnacle.
